Celebrate Good Times, Come on!

It is time to celebrate!

I am over the termites, draped a blanket over my chair, AND my feet have been soaked and toes painted!

On to celebrating - Athan is finishing his Kindergarten year and Aiden is successfully going potty on the toilet! Woo - Hoo! The Nelson boys are growing up.

So that means we are headed to Chuck E. Cheese. What better place to celebrate with a three and six year old? But we certainly won't be eating their pizza. Oh my gosh, no way! We will be playing games to earn tickets. We will probably win 50 tickets and only be able to choose between a green plastic army man, a peppermint, or a Cinderella ring. Man, they rip us off but that's OK. It is for the kids and they will have lots of fun.

They'll probably pick the green plastic army man:)

Momma says they'll be days like this...

...they'll be days like this, my momma said. Have you got the tune in your head?
The termite guy is inspecting the house because those lovely creatures swarm around us in the spring. I have a chair in my living room that needs serious TLC and I have no clue how to fix the problem (I tried to take a spot out and now I have a water line around where I cleaned - can anyone help?), AND I am potty training my child who will be four in August (He has totally not been interested anytime we have attempted but NO mercy this time!)
Uuuuggghh!!!
Did I mention the tons of laundry that always needs to be done, the nasty kitchen floor that needs to be cleaned and all I really want to do is soak my feet then paint my toes. Oh well!! Such is life, huh?

Simplicities...Yes, again.

This time I'm not just going to show my kids and neighbor kids feeding ducks:)
Although, it is a very simple and enjoyable thing to do. Some other simple and enjoyable things that I have experienced lately are picking fresh flowers out of my garden to have inside my house, and to remember how nice it is to see horses anytime I drive down my street. As you all know, life can get a little crazy or your mind gets a bit 'flooded.' So it is nice, every now and then, to just look at what is around you. What God has blessed you with right NOW.
OK, OK! So I have to do this alot...b/c I tend to forget to think of the little things...alot!
Some simple things I have enjoyed this weekend -
.playing legos with the family.
.recieving b'fast in bed this morning by Athan.
.just listening to my Aiden talk with his cute lisp.
.washing Aiden's freckles.
.making chocolate covered strawberries.
.sharing them with my close neighbor friend.
.reading library books to my children.
.to watch Alf really enjoy something I cook.
.to watch my boys hysterically laugh at watching a balloon deflate and make a fart noise!!!!
Enjoy the simple things and Happy Mother's Day
